Happy Birthday Liz: Case Study Challenge #50

I wanted to share my card which inspired me this week Case Study challenge . It is my friend's birthday tomorrow, at the orthopedic office I work at. So, seeing the challenge from case study, it inspired my to make this card. Liz Loves flowers and butterflies. So I focused on roses from the PTI collection from year of flowers. I wanted the rose and butterflies to have a 3D feeling. I first stamped the rose on the card and embossed it with Sprinkle and sparkle "in the Lake" blue. Then I Stamped again the Rose on shimmer cream cardstock; then embossed it again. I punched out the butterflies from Martha Stewart punches. and Sprayed it with Tattered Angel Mist. I think the card was fun to do and Liz, Loved the card.

Next
Strawberry cream cake topped with white chocolate covered Strawberries.

These were an actual hit at work. The staff loved it. It was really moist and very light.

I only made 1 dozen and they disappeared so quickly.
As you can see a very happy friend. Till Next Time,

Diana

Anniversary card

Happy Wednesday

Making this card is for a special person to me, she is what I call my second mom. When my mom was at work, she would take care of me when I was a little girl. I was actually her flower girl when she got married in India 35 years ago. Wow, besides being cousins, her daughter and me are like sisters. I love them both.
To make this card, I wanted to do something fairly simple. I found the cardstock from Joanna DCWV Lemon stack, combined it with PTI lemon Tart, Used the Simply Chartreuse card used the Spellbinder Parisian motif. I love this die cut. For an extra touch, I put liquid pearl around it.PTI stamp: Mixed Messages.
Have a wonderful day

Wanted to show this card I made for a co worker. She found out that I made handmade cards. So she asked me to make 2 cards, 1 Father's Day card and a Mother's Day card. I was like, you know mother's day is over, she told me it was for her husband mother that just came back into town. I really don't know this person very well, so it was hard to get a feel for this person, on what she liked. So, I just fiddle with some stuff and this is what I came up with.

Tomorrow I will put up the other card.

Cardstock: PTI Aqua Mist. Gina K Navy Blue
Stamps: PTI: Masculine Motif,Woodgrain
Cuttlebug: Forest Embossing Folder

Grad cap/ Throwback Thursday Challenge

There is a challenge from My Creative time called Throwback Thursday. The challenge to make something use an cricut lite , or a old cartridge. Since Paper doll Dress up is a old cartridge and I just made this card, I decided to enter my card in. Check out her site to see some cool projects.

My mom had asked me to make a graduation card for my cousin's daughter. So of course, I couldn't refuse to make something for her, since I love to make different things. Her schools' colors were yellow black and red according to her gown. Trying to figure what I wanted to do was a challenge. Then I remembered from my cricut cartridges I had a graduation cap from Dress Up Paper Doll. I just enlarged it and fused it together using the Gypsy so it is a flip up card. I used my Papertrey ink number dies to make the 2011. The stickles to give the tassels some bling. I hope she liked it. The bottom of the cap I used the Star cuttlebug embossing folder and lightly sponged it with a darker yellow ink. Tomorrow I will show you the card I did for my cousin.
I hope you have a fabulous day and stay healthy.
Thanks for stopping by

A Guy's Card

Happy Saturday,

This Birthday Card was done for a male co worker of mine. He is a very creative person. It is hard form me to do a masculine card, because of the materials I have. I wanted to chose this design from Gina K Deigns since it looks very artistic. The colors I used was from PTI. The sponging effect was to give it a soft feel using Memento ink: London fog. The embossing folder is from Cutterbug: Forest branches. Have to get back to you on the colors I used with the copics. I also used the glitter pen to give a silver shimmer but of course my camera, you can't see it. One of these days I will get a nice camera. I used the spellbinder Label 13 to pop out of the card. Well, I hope he liked it.

Till next time. Have a Wonderful Day,

Girl's Baby Shower Card

HI,
I really loved making this card,it's bright and colorful. When I got this stamp set from Verve Stamps. I couldn't wait to use it. The color choice was a little difficult for me to think of. The baby print pattern on the Aqua mist cardstock, is from a Fiskar embossing template . I found the dolly from Target and used that for the border. That's all for today.

Have a Awesome Day,
Diana
